Answer:
The correct answer is d. In a little over an hour the Earth absorbs as much solar energy as is required to keep the human economy moving for a whole year. Most of mankind’s energy currently comes from fossil fuels, ancient plant and animal bodies that originally got their energy from the Sun but over time were compressed into compact sources that release useful energy when burned.

This could be your house! Very cool….
This residential solar installation is made up of a 4.23 kilowatt array mounted on the roof of this client’s home. The system is tied to the grid and “sells” excess energy to the utility company. This system also includes a battery backup system that can power the home for up to 2 full days in the event of a utility blackout. Our customer expects the solar system to provide all of their energy needs, while the clean energy will offset 9,500 pounds of carbon per year, or the equivalent of planting 120 trees.
